■ プロフィール

小型衛星の技術が発展し、宇宙でどう使うかを考えることが重要になっています。私は、人工衛星に搭載する宇宙光学系の研究に取組んでいます。
まず、要素技術として、大型の天体望遠鏡で大気揺らぎの補正に用いられる補償光学技術を応用し、宇宙環境における光学素子の熱歪や位置ずれを補正する方法を研究しています。
そして、補償光学系の光の波長と同程度の精密調整能力を利用して、複数の鏡を合わせて数メートルの大型主鏡を実現する分割型望遠鏡技術、複数の小型衛星が協調するフォーメーションフライングを利用して数十メートルにも及ぶ大規模な光学システムを実現する合成開口望遠鏡技術を提案しています。
