著者・共著者	In this paper we explore the concept of harmony in Confucian texts. Taking a unique perspective, we examine the discourses in which Jiang (ginger) was discussed in Confucian texts and the ways in which it was related to human physical health, and in turn, to spiritual development. The research findings connect the daily life discursive practice of Jiang to the fundamental Confucian concept of harmony.
