概要	This study explores several Chinese students’ early experience in Japan. The concept of social translocation (Anthias, 2002) is utilized to interpret the difficulties that these students encountered during this period. The research finding shows that during the process of locating themselves in a new social environment in Japan, in terms of physical space, social status, and social network, the students were involved in an experience of identity and discourse conflicts.
