| 概要 | We previously proposed a tablet-based handheld artwork viewing system designed to recreate the experience of holding and viewing a physical artwork. The system adapts the appearance of the displayed artwork to changes in the ambient illuminance of the viewing environment. In this paper, we extend the system by introducing a real-time rendering method based on the Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) to reproduce the optical and material properties of artworks more faithfully. Normal and specular maps are generated to represent subtle variations in surface geometry and gloss, allowing the artwork to be reconstructed as relightable data. The proposed method dynamically renders lighting-dependent changes in shading and highlights, thereby providing a more natural and visually rich digital artwork viewing experience. |
